You get paid through Stripe, our secure payment provider. The client pays once he/she accepts your proposal. The money is held in Stripe until the work is completed. Once the client agrees the work is finished the money gets released to your connected Stripe account.

Yes. Both the freelancer and the client get an invoice from Passionfruit once a job is finished. This invoice contains all the information that is legally required, including VAT if this applies.

You start by creating a profile. Once you have done that our matchmaking system can match you to the jobs our client’s post. You get a message when a client wants to get a proposal from you.

When you are logged into your client profile you can go to this page to post a job. Fill in the job description and you are good to go!

Yes, it’s safe to work through Passionfruit. Through our payment system we make sure the client pays before you start the work. The money is held in escrow until the work (or a milestone) is finished. 

Although working through Passionfruit is safe, you should always use your common sense. As stated in our terms of use we recommend to only communicate and make payments through Passionfruit. If you do this, we’ll always try to help you to fix a situation in case something goes wrong.

Your job description and profile are key to get quality matches. The more we know about you and the purpose of your business the better our matching system works. Try to also make sure to add the right skills for the job in the job description, but don’t overdo it. Sometimes the best freelancer misses one or two skills in his profile but turns out to be the perfect match.

Passionfruit is just the online marketplace that connects clients and freelancers and enables them to work together. We do everything we can to make sure both the client and the freelancers have an excellent experience, but we are not responsible for the quality of work a freelancer provides.

The Intellectual Property of the work is transferred from freelancer to client unless you have agreed otherwise. 

You upload your job, using the ‘Upload a Job’ button. After you’ve put in all the required information our matchmaking system provides you with a list with the best matching freelancers. You ask one (or more) of your matching freelancers for a proposal. Once you accept one of the proposals you can pay and the work starts.
